offers an affordable space for artists to build and create performance work; a place where you can drill holes in the floor, get dirty and make something; where the tools you need during the creative process (sets, props, costumes) can live as well.
Making it all affordable is key at 206.
At we are interested in nurturing artists who are taking risks, who are actively engaged in exploring and igniting their process of creation and who are
committed to inviting the public into that process.
Located in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis, 206 is in a beautiful, bright, southwest corner of the Ivy Building for the Arts, has 3300 sq. ft. with a 1500 sq. ft. (50’ x 30’) clear-span rehearsal area, wood floors as well as an area for construction
