STUDIO 206 was founded by artists Robert Rosen and Shawn McConneloug in 2007. Over the past ten years, it has been a creative resource for over one hundred seventy five artists and art groups and initiated workshops and residencies in highly physical, cross-disciplinary approaches to performance. 206 is also the home of an innovative artistic consortium called The Gymnasium.
Located in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis, 206 is in a beautiful, bright, southwest corner of the Ivy Building for the Arts, has 3300 sq. ft. with a 1500 sq. ft. (50’ x 30’) clear-span, wood floor rehearsal area.The Ivy Building is on the Midtown Greenway bike path, accessible from the 7, 21 and 24 bus lines and within walking distance of the light rail. The building is fully accessible, with passenger and freight elevators and free parking.
